Although 360 video has existed now for over ten years, the unsolved challenges facing this technology has kept this visual medium from gaining widespread use. With the advent of small HD camera technology, such as the GoPro Hero 2, we have begun to explore its applications underwater and develop viable online user interfaces. This workshop will focus on the challenges of filming 360 video underwater and explore new applications of 360 imagery.
