Exploring the Deepest Ocean: Been There, Done That – What’s Next?  Part 1

This is the first of a two-part series of 90-minute sessions that delve into the science, technology, and techniques of exploring the deep ocean abyss.  Six expert panelists will review recent scientific findings and discuss the latest technologies. All of them have participated in dives with manned submersibles.  And three were part of James Cameron’s recent Deepsea Challenge Expedition in March 2012.  Based on their past and present experiences, the speakers will forecast what the future holds for exploration of the oceans’ greatest depths.
